Fussy cutting with freezer paper templates is the hallmark of this artistic design. A combination of hand and machine piecing (a hybrid) is a wonderful way to sew these hexagons (video). Piecing by hand or by machine with freezer paper templates is simpler, more precise and faster than English Paper Piecing.
